5fm interview with Gareth Cliff

Friday, 5 November 2010:
I had the opportunity of a life time today, a live in studio interview with Gareth Cliff.
I invited two of my fellow Mr.SA Semi-finalist to join me on air; they were Hugo Myburgh & Jaco Le Roux.

We arrived at Oakland Park and entered the Radio Park for Sabc, after all the hectic security checks we were in and could see 3 radio stations through their glass boxes. Metro fm, Radio 2000 & 5fm!

It was a very interesting experience as it was so "Normal" and not what I expected at all once we were inside; there was a cafeteria, benches and bathrooms with employees walking around. :)

Before we entered Damon quickly explained to us what we were going to do and asked for our names.

Gareth announced us on air as the Mr.SA Semi-finalist as we entered; Mabali and Leanne were very excited and smiled all the way. He then read out our full names once we took our positions.
The initial interview went by quickly but we said what needed to be said and got a great response from our supporters and accomplished great publicity for Mr.SA and their current Semi-Finalist. Also in the interview I spoke of Mr. SA's official charity this year which is the Chrysalis foundation and that all of us are rising funds for them with our various projects!

Gareth also asked at the end when & where the actual crowing would take place and I answered:
The Mr.SA 2011 crowing will be held on the 19^th of February at Silverstar casino!

Overall I think we achieved great success through an amazing experience and formed an even greater stepping stone for Mr.SA.
