It was time to finish off my planning for my Fundraiser; this is a very important project as all the Semi-finalist was tasked to raise money for our official charity this year The Chrysalis Foundation. I already started planning this event 2 months in advance, at the very same time I contacted a good friend Heinz Winckler. Odd story but we worked together at an event in Loui Trichardt for Air Force Base Makhado's SAAF 90th Ball. He is a really inspiring person and a big Christian, he and his wife had a baby and turns out they called him Lian. It is Strange how people get connected. :) So I phoned him up 2 months ago while on a business trip and asked if he would like to get involved in a Theatre type charity event and he agreed, so that was set.
In the meanwhile I had looked at various venues but Finalized with Lemonjack Studios & Theater for the 23rd of November. I also phoned up some friends like Jakkie Louw and Johnna's from Klopjag to be a part of this project but they were all bust by now. They did refer me to a very talented young singer called "Charlize Berg". It took me awhile to get a hold of her but eventually she agreed, she is currently also writing her Matric finals but she is brilliant.
I sat with Christel Steyn one of the owners and we brainstormed this event together, everything was set and then we started marketing.

Villaggio Sano is home to Lemonjack Recording Studios. The studio offers a 90 seater recording theatre acoustically treated for choir and piano recordings. It is a private venue that is perfect for corporate function, media launches of music, books, and paintings for invited guests. The facility has a dining lounge with informal stage for the ultimate private group events. On the premises there is La Casa Mia that offers 9 on suite rooms, some with lounges, for overnight guests.
