Heinz Winckler & Lian Fourie for the Chrysalis foundation. "D-day!"

Tuesday 23 November, 2010:

The day had finally arrived and everything I could possibly do to make the event a success was done!

Charlize & Heinz arrived early to do sound check & practise their duet, the high-light of the night.

My trusty photographer stood ready to take pictures as the guest's started arriving. They recieved a glass of cherry and were directed to the roof as the sun was busy setting, juice was also provided for those that did not drink alcohol. Kevin Leo also came in support of Heinz & Charlize.

Everyone was then directed to their tables as we served the starters, I did an opening introduction and Heinz did a quick prayer for us.

As we finished our main course everyone was directed to the theatre as the show was about to start.

I appeared on stage and did an introduction and then called Charlize Berg to perform her 1st song.

She was beautiful & the whole room could not take their eyes of her as she kept as in a trance with her exceptional vocal capabilities!

I then went on stage and introduced Rhona Scheppel, the director of "The Chrysalis Foundation". She spoke a little about the work they do and I also said a few words on the matter.

Now it was time for Heinz Winckler and all the ladies got very excited! I announced him to the stage and he blew us all away with his brilliant performance! After his solo he asked Charlize Berg to join him on stage, it was time for the evenings high-lite, a duet!

Perfection never sounded so dreamy as these to Talented artist's passionately gave a performance that made the crowd scream Encore! Encore! We want more!

Once they were finished, I took the stage and gave them both special gifts and directed the guest's back to the lounge where they could now enjoy Coffee/Tea & Pudding.

I also joined in on the festivities as all the stress was now over, everyone socialized afterwards till it was time to say goodbye.

The function was a huge success and I’m glad that I could have made a difference! The total money gathered on the night for the Chrysalis was over R7000.
